Introduction

Most westerners travel to India only once in their lifetime. World Spree Travel wants to ensure you have all the resources in planning your dream vacation. Please read the following information regarding the level of activity you can expect, your physical requirements, trip destination information, tour pacing and meal arrangements specific to this India tour.

Physical Requirements

This is an active tour. You should be able to EASILY negotiate climbing many stairs and walking for 30 minutes in 90-degree heat. To fully participate in this multi-city tour, you must be able to complete some long days of touring with minimal breaks. While the tour does not go to high-altitude terrain it does include a reasonable amount of walking or hiking, and is suitable for an average level of physical fitness. The tour itinerary involves sightseeing on foot, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing of stairs without handrails or assistance. It is not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

Tour Pacing

We conduct our tours at a busy but comfortable pace. Be prepared for long journeys since we conduct most transport within India via overland travel with reasonably large distances between destinations. Road conditions in India have improved markedly in recent years but they still do not meet North American standards. Extensive road improvement programs can also lead to delays. There are three major overland journeys in this tour (Delhi to Agra, Agra to Jaipur and Jaipur to Delhi) and each will last between approximately four to six hours.

Climate & Terrain

Different locations and climates mean the best times to visit varies. October to March represents the best time to visit India during their winter when temperatures and humidity should be reasonable. By the end of March towards early April, weather in northern India starts to warm up. After mid-April, temperatures can easily reach highs of 90-95°F during the days. The best time to travel to India is between October and March, December and January being the coldest months. We do not offer tours from late May through early August since the prolonged summer and following rainy (monsoon) season creates very hot and humid conditions which most travelers find unpleasant. Summers in India can kick in as early as the second week of April, and temperatures may exceed 95°F in the afternoon.

Group Size & Tour Guides

World Spree tour guides are hand-picked, well-trained and service oriented. They are constantly evaluated based on the feedback from World Spree customers. We know the success of your trip largely depends on the quality of our tour guides; therefore,  strive to hire only the best.

For groups of 10 travelers or more, a tour guide will be assigned to travel with your group throughout your trip. Your tour guide will also act as your local guide in each city. We need a minimum of 10 travelers to guarantee the tour departure. Group size varies depending on the trip, seasonality, airline availability, and special departure dates and events, and usually do not exceed 28-35 travelers.

The quietvox headphone is provided to this specific tour program when the group size is 10 or more. This means that each tour participant will receive a lightweight, portable receiver that can be worn around the neck or slipped into a pocket to aid in hearing the tour guides. The quietvox headphone is designed for comfort and quality; allowing you and your fellow travelers the ability to easily hear your tour guide's instructions and stories.

Document Delivery

We will send your final travel documents via email about two weeks prior to departure. This email will include a copy of your electronic air ticket receipt (e-tickets), the final tour itinerary, hotel and emergency contact and other important information for your trip.

All our hotels offer daily international buffet breakfasts, spacious rooms with modern amenities, ensuite baths, comfortable beds, air-conditioning, and hot&cold running water - in addition to many hotel features and facilities.
