Optional Tours

Day 6: Village Cycling ($75 per person, Ubud)
Optional tour in Ubud

Take a refreshing respite with an early start before the heat of the day to explore rural Bali by bike. The cycles are all well maintained mountain bikes, and the tour is gently paced to be suitable for all of reasonable fitness. The tour sticks to quiet lanes, passing lush paddies and local temples, with regular stops to hydrate, admire the beautiful views and visit a local village.
Day 10: Uluwatu trip, Kecak fire dance, and farewell dinner ($65 per person, Uluwatu)
Optional tour in Uluwatu

In the late afternoon, we will be picked up by a vintage collector’s edition open top Volkswagens for a special evening and travel to the stunning Uluwatu temple, one of six key temples believed to be Bali's spiritual pillars. Aside from its megalithic origin dating back to the 10th century, the temple's Balinese architecture, ancient sculptures and traditionally-designed gateways add to its appeal. Perched on a steep clifftop on the western edge of the magnificent Bukit Peninsula, the temple is said to protect Bali from evil spirits and is a spectacular spot to enjoy the sunset. We then enjoy the traditional Kecak fire dance which tells stories from the Ramayana.

The evening concludes with a farewell dinner at Bali’s only authentic, multi-award winning Balinese restaurant that is renowned for their quality, authenticity, presentation and ambiance in a traditional crafted village setting. The foundation in the style of their cooking was found after two decades of investigating and documenting Balinese cuisine, and together with their highly trained service, we ensure you will have the most memorable fine dining experience — the end of the perfect vacation with the perfect meal.
